Credocal(Calcium Gluconate, Vitamin-B12 & Cholecalciferol Injection)

Composition:-

Each ml contains:

  • Calcium Gluconate …….. 137.5 mg.
  • Vitamin-B12 B.P. …….. 50 mcg.
  • Cholecalciferol B.P. …….. 5000 I.U.
  • Benzyl Alcohol B.P. …….. 1.5% v/v (As Preservative).
  • Water for Injection B.P. …….. q.s.
  • Appropriate overages of vitamins added to compensate for loss on storage.
Indications:-

Credocal is indicated for:

  • Highly recommended as a follow-up after drip therapy in hypocalcemic tetany (Milk Fever).
  • Helps increase milk production.
  • Prevents calcium deficiency conditions such as rickets, osteoporosis and osteomalacia in pets.
  • Effective in disturbed calcium absorption and erratic calcium metabolism.
  • Improves the tone and strength of smooth muscles, thereby helping in uterine prolapse.
  • Fulfills increased calcium requirements during pregnancy and lactation.
  • In pets, improves coat lustre and helps in anaemic conditions and anorexia.
Dosage & Administration:-

To be administered intramuscularly.

  • Cattle and Horses : 10 – 15 ml, twice weekly.
  • Calves : 2 – 5 ml, twice weekly.
  • Dogs : 1 – 2 ml, twice weekly.
Storage & Withdrawal Period:-
  • Storage : Store in a cool place protected from light.
  • Withdrawal Period for Milk : Zero day.
  • Withdrawal Period for Meat : Zero day.
